After enjoying a labor day dinner by yours truly I went to Barnes and Noble to do a little writing and unwinding . As I set my book bag down and laid a copy one each of the 7 books I have published on the table I noticed three elderly women , one black two white sitting at a table knitting smiling and enjoying each other’s company . I thought to myself how cute it looked , but it was also symbolic of the great US of A , a picture of a revelation of how far this Nation has come and an example of what we could be. Each lady undoubtedly with their own stories of adversity and accomplishments in life. It is said that children uninfluenced will play joyfully and peacefully with other children regardless of race or color. But how much more can be said for those who have experienced the trials and tribulations of life and the pressures that encourage segregation and racial divide , for these three elderly ladies to defy ignorance cowardice , and prejudice to sit at a table in Barnes and Noble knitting and enjoying each others company . As I fought back tears while writing the blog and watching those women I realized there is yet hope for our Nation . Let us fight back against that which is not natural that goes against humanity to strive to live in peace with your fellow man and if possible find yourself in the company of those who are different but the same through commonality.

Be blessed
