Are You a Woman from Corinth?
By Anthony Gantt
Identifying what you are hungry for is the first step in satisfying your hunger. If the hunger is not identified, there will always be a compromise. And when there is a compromise, it may satisfy for a moment but will not last.”Man, I could go for a pizza.”Guess what? A burger will not satisfy that hunger. And you know what happens when people are hungry? They find themselves angry. Or, as we call it today, “Hangry!” They find themselves so hungry and unsatisfied that they cannot think clearly. They make irrational decisions that they would never have made if they were not hungry.Come on. You know this is true! I’ve seen plenty of Christians walking around spiritually hangry. In fact, I’m ashamed to admit I’ve been one of those people a time or two.The same is true for a group of women attending the church of Corinth. They found themselves hungry, and since they had not identified the true source of their hunger (lack of God), they attempted to fill that hunger with all sorts of destructive things. Are you a woman of Corinth? Don’t be! Let’s learn how to identify your hunger and satisfy it in Godly ways.
